Samuel Zhang - President
Samuel is the president and co-founder of the New Providence Chess Club and has been a chess coach and private teacher for three years. Trained by top grandmasters in the state, Samuel is a Candidate Master rated 2179 and has been among the nation’s top scholastic players since he was 12. You will find him at weekly events, teaching and giving lectures, and organizing community chess events.
Amelie Chan - Vice
Amelie is the vice president and co-founder of the New Providence Chess Club, having taught chess extensively over the past few years. She is among the top 30 best chess players for girls age 17. Along with giving lectures, Amelie is the club's social media and operational manager.
Noah Hinger - Organizer
Noah Hinger is the nicest guy at the New Providence Chess Club. He is an experienced chess lecturer and coach, a casual cyber security analyst, and a violinist. When Noah is not giving lessons at the club or performing his music, he is out in the world saving lives.
Max DePaul - Treasurer
Max is the treasurer of the New Providence Chess Club. He has enjoyed learning and coaching chess for many years. When he’s not teaching at the club, he enjoys playing soccer and practicing piano.
